SEJ's 32nd Annual Conference takes place in Boise, Idaho, April 19-23, 2023, hosted by Boise State University. Registration is now open! Online registration closes Mar 24 at Noon for SEJ's 31st Annual Conference in Houston, hosted by Rice University. The #SEJ2022 conference will focus on environmental health and justice, energy and climate change, and oceans and coasts. Registration is now open for part one of SEJ's 30th Anniversary Conference:
#SEJ2020 Virtual Conference, September 16, 17, 23 and 30, will convene the SEJ community to investigate environmental angles on the 2020 elections and other timely events, celebrate the winners of the SEJ Awards for Reporting on the Environment, and preview workshops, tours and panels coming in June. Part two, the in-person conference in Boise, takes place June 2-6 (#SEJ2021). Environmental Journalism 2019 will take place in Fort Collins, Colorado, hosted by Colorado State University. Colorado simultaneously boasts and suffers from a population explosion in Denver and other cities. This purple state is fertile ground for both clashes and collaborations among parties vying for rights to land, water and air, whether to preserve it for wildlife and human recreation or to exploit it for energy extraction.
