SEJ Awards banner

October 22, 2024 — The Society of Environmental Journalists is proud to announce the winners of the SEJ Awards for Reporting on the Environment, which honor the best stories released from April 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024, and the best books on environmental topics published in 2023.

The SEJ Awards stand as the world's largest and most comprehensive environmental journalism competition. This year, judges and subject-matter experts from the field, comprising volunteer independent journalists and professors, read, listened and viewed 532 entries across 10 categories.

The Nina Mason Pulliam Award, recognizing the "best of the best" of environmental reporting, will award $10,000 to one entry chosen from these first-place winners of SEJ's Awards for Reporting on the Environment. Sponsored by the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, this prestigious award will be announced live in the new year — stay tuned for details.

Congratulations to all the 2024 SEJ Award winners!
