With flood season already here in some locations, and soon to arrive in others, you'll need the latest information on in-process and pending floods. NOAA offers a useful resource for detailed data that is almost real-time, provided by 4,260 monitors on waterways throughout the US. The network has been significantly upgraded from a few years ago, when it covered just portions of the Midwest and East.
NOAA also has pulled together numerous resources that are useful for tracking the latest information on temperature, precipitation (including flooding and drought), wind, El Nino and La Nina, Pacific sea level, events in the stratosphere, such as ultraviolet radiation and upper level ozone, and limited information on wildfire and soil hazards (related primarily to drought).
