"A helicopter pilot who repeatedly flew over Curry County homes while spraying herbicides on clear cuts in 2013, drawing 20 complaints of illness, will not face any monetary fine from the state.
The Oregon Department of Agriculture eliminated $20,000 in fines proposed against the pilot, Steven Owen, and his White City company, Pacific Air Research, in a settlement released Wednesday.
Owen's spraying license will be suspended for one year. The application license for Owen's company will also be suspended a year, effective immediately."
