The SWCC will gather in Ottawa June 4-6 for their 2023 Conference to explore the big topics including, but not limited to, climate change, health, reconciliation, and trust in science.

This theme of this year's in-person conference is "What's Working: Sustainable Media System for a Viable Democracy." The focus is on investigative journalism, on cross-border and cross-sectoral collaborations between journalists and media, and on the wider frame of media regulations that are being developed in Europe.

This new, culture-shaping event will feature leading voices working at the edge of change. Built to foster solutions-oriented conversations, the five-day festival will feature a cross section of visionaries from business, design, culture, food, technology, science and entertainment.

The ECSJ2020, organised by Science Writers in Italy, will take place — in Trieste, Italy and online — on 1 and 2 September, right before the Euro Science Open Forum 2020.
