DEADLINE: Ted Scripps Fellowships in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder

Deepen your understanding of environmental science and policy, and enhance your journalism skills at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Ted Scripps Fellowships in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder's Center for Environmental Journalism are open to U.S. journalists (reporters, editors, producers and freelancers) working in print or broadcast with a minimum of five years' full-time experience. Prior experience covering the environment is not necessary. Five fellowships are awarded annually. Fellows take classes, attend special seminars, take field trips, and engage in independent study at a university renowned for its environmental science and policy studies.

The program provides a $80,000 stipend. It also covers tuition and fees, paid sick leave, bus passes for use locally and regionally, and attendance at the annual SEJ and NASW conferences.

The fellowship begins in mid-August with a week's orientation prior to classes beginning and continues into mid-May.
