DEADLINE: New America's Fellows Program

New America’s Fellows Program invests in thinkers — journalists, scholars, filmmakers, and public policy analysts — who generate big, bold ideas that have an impact and spark new conversations about the most pressing issues of our day.

The fellowship begins in September 2025 and runs through May 2026. New America provides stipends at varying levels ($15k-$30k) to support the work of National Fellows. Fellows typically remain in their jobs and home city, but come together for two cohort gatherings, each lasting 2-3 days and held in Washington, DC.

New America is headquartered in Washington, DC, but also has offices in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Indianapolis that can serve as local hubs for Fellows.
