DEADLINE: African Climate Change and Environmental Reporting Awards

The Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance is accepting entries for the African Climate Change and Environment Reporting (ACCER) Awards 2022.

The ACCER Awards is a biennial initiative that recognises excellence in climate change and environmental journalism in Africa.

Entries for the 2022 Awards must have been published or aired between August 1st, 2021 and May 10, 2022, in English or French. Submissions in other languages must include a translation into English save for the select countries as in the brochure whose linke can be found below..

The competition is open exclusively to African journalists whose work focus on the situation in Africa. Awards will be given in four categories: print journalism, radio journalism, television journalism or online journalism.

The ACCER Awards is an initiative of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), a consortium of more than 1,000 organisations from 48 African countries advancing a people-centred, rights-based, just and inclusive approach to addressing the climate and environmental challenges facing humanity and the planet.
